Do not underestimate Tina Smith. Ever. An absolute pocket rocket, Tina might bring the average height of our team down significantly, but she packs a hell of a punch… seriously, you will not get through to Tina between 730 & 9am on Tuesdays and Thursdays? Why? She is at boxing training.
Tina was born in the Sunshine State of Florida and having spent 15 years in the Not-So-Sunshine-State of Scotland, it is no surprise that she now chases the sun in Cape Town. Now a fully-fledged adopted South African, she has been married to Johan for over 25 years and lives a very active family life with her 3 boys and 3 dogs.
“My work life is like my family life; it might not be glamorous to chase an invoice or to drive 3 hours to 3 different rugby practices, but hell, it doesn’t work without me... and I really LOVE that.”
Potentially the most popular person on the team, Tina has been described as the engine that powers the team. Her day-to-day is spent preparing and running payroll, running financial reports, ensuring tax compliance, and managing our accounts receivable and payable.
When not grafting, Tina is the life and soul of the office, & when our clients are in Cape Town, she has been known to be first to the bar and last off the dance floor. We are told this does not adhere to the ‘Finance’ stereotype, which is no surprise given this force of nature.
